Al Hilal have reached an agreement with West Ham United for the transfer of winger Crysencio Summerville. The proposed deal is valued at approximately €80million (£68.23m) in total. A medical examination is reportedly scheduled as part of the move to the Saudi Pro League club.
A long-term contract for the Netherlands international is also prepared, pending the completion of final authorisations. Summerville, who is 24 years old, was anticipated to depart West Ham during the current transfer window, following the club’s relegation to the Championship last season. Earlier reports indicated that West Ham would likely require around £50m to approve the winger’s departure.
Several clubs had shown interest in Summerville. Roma reportedly submitted a bid of €46million (£39.12m; $56.21m) for the player this month. Manchester United had also inquired about his situation, and Aston Villa expressed interest in the winger. Summerville’s contract at the London Stadium was set to continue until 2029.
Summerville was part of the Netherlands’ 26-man squad for the World Cup, despite making his international debut in a friendly in June. He participated in four of the team’s matches during the tournament, contributing two goals and two assists. However, he missed a penalty in the shootout loss against Morocco in the round of 32.
He joined West Ham from Leeds United in 2024. During his time with the east London side, he has featured in matches across various competitions. In the most recent season, he scored seven goals and provided five assists.
In other transfer news, Mateus Fernandes has already moved from West Ham to Tottenham Hotspur this summer in a move valued at £85m. Meanwhile, captain Jarrod Bowen has committed his immediate future to West Ham by signing a revised contract.
Other transfer market activities
West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville was also a target for Manchester United, particularly if Marcus Rashford were to leave this summer. Reports suggested that the Netherlands attacker could cost around £30m in such a scenario.
Arsenal is reportedly preparing an offer of approximately £34m for RB Leipzig’s 21-year-old Norway winger Antonio Nusa. Manchester City has informed Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi, an 18-year-old Morocco midfielder, of their intention to integrate him directly into the first team rather than loan him back to the French club.
Manchester City is also reportedly looking at Paris St-Germain’s Senegal forward Ibrahim Mbaye, who is 18 years old, following interest from Aston Villa and Tottenham. Sunderland is reportedly planning a move for 19-year-old French defender Dayann Methalie from Toulouse.
Everton is considering a move for Manchester City right-back Rico Lewis, with Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, and Fulham also showing interest in the 21-year-old Englishman. Hull City is expected to finalise a move this week for Swedish winger Elliot Stroud, 24, from Mjallby in a deal worth £3m.
Hull City is also hopeful of completing the signing of Olympiacos and Greece goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis, who is 23. West Ham defender Konstantinos Mavropanos is reportedly keen on returning to the Premier League, with Leeds United among the interested clubs for the 28-year-old Greece international.
Sheffield United has reportedly surpassed Leicester City in the pursuit of Rangers and Scotland defender John Souttar, who is 29. Norwich City and West Ham are interested in left-back Matt Targett, 30, following his release by Newcastle. The defender spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough.
Leeds is set to be joined by Crystal Palace in the race to sign Southampton and Northern Ireland midfielder Shea Charles, 22, who is reportedly valued at £30m. Preston is among several clubs interested in 22-year-old Oxford United winger Stanley Mills. Celtic will consider offers for striker Johnny Kenny this summer, with Millwall and Bolton Wanderers both interested in the 23-year-old Republic of Ireland international.
Blackburn’s 24-year-old Nigerian international right-back Ryan Alebiosu is attracting interest from clubs in the Bundesliga and Serie A. Johnny Kenny scored six goals in 14 appearances while on loan at Bolton Wanderers last season.
