England’s World Cup Campaign Ends in Semi-Final Defeat
England captain Harry Kane has expressed that the team is “missing that final piece of the jigsaw” after their defeat to Argentina in the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup. Looking Ahead to Euro 2028
England will now participate in a third-place play-off match against France, who were defeated by Spain in the other semi-final. This match is scheduled for Saturday. They then overcame DR Congo 2-1 in the last 32, secured a 3-2 win against co-hosts Mexico despite being reduced to 10 men, and beat Norway 2-1 after extra-time before facing Argentina.
